Short characteristics of the site: Section in the abandoned quarry wall: kaolinized bimodal sandstones of the Carboniferous (Línské Fm.)overlied by brownish miceous sandstones rich on magnetite. These sediments are believed to be re-deposited and kaolinized , Paleogene sandstones. Quartzite layer divides the sedimentary suite from Oligocene volcanic tuffs.
